brandon, i can tell you how i rig mine it may not be the best but im sure you'll be hhappy with it, i wish i could get pics lol. anyways, im just going to tell you how i rig my stock dukes. firstly, get rid of the twin loop chain and replace it with #3 USA made straight machene link chain i center swivel all of my traps with a MTP crunch proof swivel. i was thinking about base plating them as well but i didnt also if you want to go another step you can add a shcok spring as well it really doesnt matter much for fur trapping. all in all i have about8-10 inches of chain on my k9 traps. some will say with that short of chains a yote will pump the stake much easier. thats were a shock spring helps a bit and if you double stake or use cable stakes i doubt you'll have any trouble. hope that helps

with that said above ^^^ thats with of course a solid stake. if your using drags thats a different ball game lol. for drags id use about 6 to 8 feet of #2 USA machine link chain with atleast 2 center swivels(swivels being MTP crunch proofs) and as for a drag it all depends on how much you want to spend, i know J.C. conners drags are some top quality drags! but they are pretty expensive too. good luck!

stock swivel point in the trap 12" #2 machine chain box swivel 12" #2 machine chain and sleepy creek double stake swivel cutting those lengths in half aka 6" does work is less weight to pack but is so short you (or at least i do) have to kneel in the set to re set the trap with 24" total length i can stand slightly more upright
