lean the stake toward the 10 o clock position .set the trap just like for the grey fox .hug that stake with the trap.this set has produced a lot of cats for me going on 20 years now.take a rubber band and fasten a q-tip with lure at the top.add the sight attractor no flagging is needed this is the finished set.

Thats a good set, i cant wait to use that with some fighting beaver lure! I sure wish we could use feathers here, but i bet some old pillow stuffing woud work.

yep brother but lol there is a trick that i use were real feathers are not legal, goe to the dollar store and get a cheap feather duster the one with dyed feathers, in fact you don't need the feathers a couple egg shells close to the set will do the same thing as a sight appeal, you could slightly burn the stake to darken it , you can also take burlap bag strips and staple it on the stakes and then take a stiff wire brush and goe up the stake to fluff up the burlap bag for eye appeal
the sky is unlimited to what you can do,in fact you can rub southern rub , fighting beaver 10 inches above ground level on the side of a stump,or tree and catch every cat and grey that comes threw, and even pick up some yotes as well
you can also speed up your coon sets by doing the same trick with the tree or stump, or even a log near or in the water by rubbing foxpro cherry on it for coon, lol as of date i only lost 1 coon using that set and that was to a thief
here is a secret i used a lot i put the lure were the q-tip is and a shot of urine at ground level,
also when you make that set near water becareful of otter catches and dry land beaver if you use fighting beaver, only heard of a couple beaver catches but a guy in your state caugt 3 otter in a week using that set on a pond dike,
