Well, i have various knives, for various animals catch. For mink, 'rats, fox and possum, i use a cheap singl edged knife from F&T. It costs like 18.00 and it's effective on those animals. For coon, i was too cheap to buy a Necker 600, so i found a draw knife and sharpened it. My draw, on it's first sharpen could cut hair off my arm just my draging it across my arm. I dont think i get it that sharp on every sharpen but you want it to be razor sharp.

Oh, and that cheap flesher, i also use on yotes as well. My advice if you dont have a draw knife, is to get a Necker 600.

It's basicly a cheaper sheiffied knife. liked the double edge on beaver.
